Journaling:
"I LOVE this picture. It represents so many things to me. Brenda took it of me while visiting me at Wilderness Canoe BAse in 2001. That summer changed my life. I felt so at center. I believed it was the woods and the water initially and struggled to find the same peace in the years folowing this. I figured out that it was not ONLY the woods and the water. It was the QUIET, the time I spend in conversation with God, the amazing amount of exercise that kept me at center. Now I remind myself of this as I look at this picture. I need to remember I need only seek out God in the quiet to put myself "right". He is always faithful, waiting patiently for me to come running to Him, seeking solace. He tells me He'll never leave as long as I keep coming, he'll always be there waiting. I pray that someday I won't have to run for solace, only sit where I am and feel "at center" all the time. It's a lofty goal I know, but why set one that isn't lofty?"
