Scripture Prayer from Lamentations 3:21-23: My soul is downcast within me. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of Your great love I am not consumed, for Your compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness!
Journaling reads: Depression. Gloom and despair. Drowning in a wealth of doubt and recriminations that I readily heaped upon myself. Rarely feeling happy, secure or loved. Looking back on those lost months, I feel I have emerged into the light of a new day.
