Journaling Reads:
In the quest to leave a legacy of faith for our children and future generations I often look to these verses in Deuteronomy. The word Shema ,commonly translated as hear, actually means to listen and obey. I hope that my children learn
that not only should we read God's Word but also learn to obey the commands He has given us. We should love God with all our heart and use every talent and character trait he has given to us to give Him glory and praise. The Scriptures should be in our hearts and each decision we make and each path we take should be dependent on God's
Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit. In order to preserve this legacy of faith it is our responsibility as parents to teach our children about the sacrifice and atoning work of Jesus, to follow the Lord's commandments, and provide a
firm foundation of Faith rooted in His Word. I pray that by doing so we will leave a legacy of Faith that lasts until our Messiah returns.
