What should I change in my life? Hmmm...Lately I have been “convicted about being more giving. I have always felt that I couldn’t give to those less fortunate than me since I really didn’t have a lot of money either. I really started getting convicted this past Christmas when the Salvation Army and others were out wanting money. I also met a lady at McDonald’s who was in need of $1.00 for coffee. I had $1.00 on me...and I didn’t give it to her. I have felt bad about that ever since. I didn’t give to the Salvation Army either.
So...as I was thinking about this Faith Discovery Challenge, I thought that maybe I should trust God more this year and be more “giving. I feel like I am so selfish because I never give to those in need. I know God will bless me for it, and meet my needs, I just haven’t been able to completely “trust” Him for that. So, that’s how God will stretch me this new year.
Verse: Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give; not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:7
