JackieAnn Creative Team Member Registered: October 2007 Location: On the beach in sunny California~ Posts: 11,287	Hard to believe…but this is just a small sampling of Meg’s pointe shoes she has worn over the years~ LAYOUT: ~A Different Pointe of View~ SUPPLIES: Digital Elements: PRP Lovely Paper , Kate McClellan Background Paper 3, NS Journal Block 3, BE Ribbon, RMartin Glitter Sparkle, DJE Pink Sequin: Come What May January Freebie Digital Kit by Purple Paper Flowers Design Team Font: Bradley Hand JOURNALING: Each pair of these pointe shoes has a story to tell. They all started out newly crisp and pink, snuggled in their box waiting for their ribbons and elastic to be attached. Before they could dance they all had to go through a tortuous routine. They were kneaded and slammed in doors to make them softer. They were shellacked and baked in the oven to make them stronger. Some were left their original pink color; others were spray-painted or dyed to match a costume. Some spent hours and hours in the studio learning a routine to be performed. Others had the honor of performing on stage. Some never made it this far as they were literally danced to shreds. So in their own way, each pair of these pointe shoes tells the history of the dancer that wore them. If only shoes could talk~!
