Dahlia: I love everything about this layout. The cross around your neck is an amazing touch. It speaks volumes to me that faith is over your heart. There are so many things that I especially love about this layout that it is hard for me to comment. I guess the overwhelming thing that I like about it is that you can see such depth in the layout, even though you didn't use drop shadows. I'm not sure why it is that it still shows depth without them, but it definitely does.
What is the name of the font you used for the "handwritten" journaling at the bottom and where can I get a copy?
The photo, which is slightly blurry and chops off most of your face, is one that most folks would have tossed into the circular file. Yet you use it in such an artistic and creative way that it provides a feeling of mystery and makes one read the journaling more pensively (engaged in, involving, or reflecting deep or serious thought : a pensive mood.)
Really, really, great! Thank you for all you do at Faith Sisters!!!!

Oh, Jo-Anne! You're an angel! Thank you! I did use drop shadows but, very subtly because I wanted it to look as realistic as possible. The name of the font is called "Susie's Hand" and I really don't remember where I downloaded it from, but I do remember doing a Google search for it and found it on a free font website.
As for photos, I tend to keep certain ones that still have meaning to it even though they're less than stellar. There's always ways around a bad photo, you just have to play around and be creative.
Thank you for your support and for being a part of our Faith Sisters family!

I love that cross too! Is that a digi art, or did you digi doodle?? I so need to scraplift that! I love the photo image... the angle, the blurred effect -really works with your topic. Great journaling - and here is a {{{HUG}}} for the sadness you experienced in 2007.

This is a beautiful LO! I agree that the photo definitely "works" -- it makes the whole LO have a more personal reflection. I really love the brushwork, too!

The original photo is me wearing a cross which I outlined and filled in with color and just added text... I didn't really think it would attract so much attention but, now it has me thinking if I should make a free set for my sisters...hmmmmmm?
