Journaling:Home Again...This church began as The Evangelical United Brethren Church. I grew up in this denomination as my dad was the pastor of several churches. In the early 70s the EUB merged with the Methodists, but many churches did not go along with the merge as our doctrine was different than those of the Methodists. It became known as The Evangelical Church of North America. Now it is simply The Evangelical Church.I started going to this church in 1971 after my dad left the ministry. I did not attend much as I was in college a the time, but I did attend when I was home. In 1976, I moved to California, but when I got married, I wanted to get married in this church. Here is a picture of my wedding in 1977! I was in California for most of hte last 30 years, when God brought me back home to the Pacific Northwest in 2006. Tom and I now attend this church.
