Times when we have unrealistic expectations. Times where we lose focus & our trust in God. Be faithful, be true to those around you & trust in God. Don't put on a smile & pretend that life is great. Gratitude doesn't mean everything is ok. This picture of the "Road to Hana" reminds me of the twists & turns life throws our way. The road is very winding, very narrow and passes over 59 bridges, 46 of which are one-lane and requires traffic to yield. There are approximately 620 curves along the highway. Hard times in life may seem as if we are on a one-way road, all alone & passing each other by. Its up to us to persevere, gain strength from each other & always trust in God. We must yield to God, listen to Him & let him guide us around the turns and over the bridges. Beauty, wonder, hope, family, love, happiness, joy, eternal life~all things to be thankful for.

Beautiful journaling! I remember this "Road to Hana" and all the twists and turns but, I chose to focus on the beauty that was so evident and it is just like life, how there are so many things to be thankful for, even in the midst of adversity. TFS!
