Faith or Fear - Faith Sisters Scrapbooking Gallery

The journaling says:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer
and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will
guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ~ Phil. 4:6-7

I know this verse pretty well. It has been a favorite of mine for a very long time. And even though I believe it to be true, that God will indeed take care of me, it never fails that I allow fear to control me. I’m an anxiety driven individual. And because of that, I’ve often questioned my belief in Jesus. Over the years I’ve been taught that Fear and Faith cannot abide together. So if I live with constant fear, does that mean faith is washed out? Does it mean my faith is not strong?

No, I do not think it does. I think it means I struggle a little harder to give my fears to God. That I need constant reminding that I am not all knowing and only God is. He controls the future, mine and the worlds. I just have to give Him my burdens and fears, daily, even hourly at times.

I do thank you, Sweet Jesus, that regardless of the worries heavy on my heart, that You love me. Unconditionally. And Always. Let me praise You forever.
