Journaling reads: She had chosen Jason Bailey as her escort. Her mother had painstakingly sewn this beautiful dress. Her sunkissed skin and blue jewelry accents highlighted her eyes and made her feel beautiful. It was a fleeting feeling, ruined by the presence of her step-father. The abuse was three years old, and another three were on the horizon. She turned to God. She prayed freqently. He listened. She was comforted. She was strengthened She survived.
