Our Flight - Faith Sisters Scrapbooking Gallery

Journaling: Our journey started in Tulsa, OK. where I helped a man that I didn’t even know check in to his flight. Everything was pretty uneventful until we got to Amsterdam, where Michelle was going to meet a friend who lives there. To do this she had to leave the secure part of the airport but the airport itself. Everything was fine until we had a gate change and we had no way to inform Michelle. We all looked for Michelle until it was time for preboarding to start, then I put my mom, Rhonda, and two friends, Andrea & Shantel, into the line for our flight and went to find Michelle. As I turned to leave them in line my mom said, “I don’t feel good about this!” and in return I said, “Mom, I will not miss this flight!” Walking away from them trying to look confident on the outside but full of question on the inside, I did nothing but pray. I checked our original gate one last time before trying to find a place to have Michelle paged over the speaker. My pace picked up and I was starting to get more anxious, scanning the crowd, looking at every face as I continued to pray. As my mind started to wonder about where she was and the endless things that could have happened to her, I could see her dad’s face as my mind played back him saying to me, “Take care of my baby.” About that time the crowd cleared a bit and I saw Michelle walking towards me. I yelled with excitement, “Michelle!” and then proceeded to tell her that our gate had changed and that they were already boarding the plane. We made our way together to our gate and to my surprise the others had not even gone through security yet because the line was so long. We all got onto the plane together, relieved. The rest of the trip I was not as uncomfortable as I was in the Amsterdam Airport.
