Newspaper clipping: Rachel Irvine, co-manger of the Yukon Wal-mart, presents St. John Nepomuk Catholic School teacher Amy Johnson w/ a vest, certificate and a $50 shopping card. A donation of $1,000 will also be given to the school in her name. In honor of National Teachers Day on May 3, Wal-mart and Sam's club foundation named Johnson as one of the Teachers of the Year.
Hidden journaling: Biggest surprise! I had not only been nominated but I won Wal-mart teacher of the year for the town of Yukon. (1 high school, 3 middle schools, 7 elementary schools) This was one way of me knowing without a doubt that I was where God wanted me to be. And to think, this was my first year as a teacher...How do I top that?
