JOURNALING:
When Michael & I got married and moved to San Diego, we did not have a home church. Fortunately when we found our first house,
Brooklyn Heights Presbyterian Church was just around the corner. This was our church home for over 4 years and even though we moved away,
Meg was baptized there. When we moved to Cardiff, we once again had to look for a home church. We tried several, but truly felt at home
when we attended Solana Beach Presbyterian Church. This was our church home for over 25 years. This was where Jim was baptized. Michael was ordained and elder and I was ordained as a Deacon. We taught Sunday School and I was the Sunday School Superintendent for over 5 years. Meg & Jim were active in the Sunday School, Junior High and Senior High programs. They attended Vacation Bible School, summer camps and mission trips. But when a new pastor was called and the Sunday morning services turned more contemporary, we started to feel the need to find a new church home. It was a very tough decision because this church was where our kids grew up and the majority of our friends attended, so we prayed that God would lead us in the direction that He wanted us go. We joined the Village Church in Rancho Santa Fe 5 years ago and the minute we walked into the sanctuary, it once again felt like coming home. We love the traditional service, the amazing music but most importantly the inspirational messages from the
pulpit. God has truly answered our prayers in helping us to find our church home.
