My hubby and I dated for 5 years before we got married. We wanted to get established in our jobs and save some money before we took the plunge. At the age of 22 we got married and admittedly I think I was a bit niave about marriage...I always loved the stories of Prince Charming and living happily ever after. Though I got the Prince Charming, marriage is not like the fairytale. Don't get me wrong, marriage is a wonderful thing. But it's not the "ride off into the sunset"...marriage takes a lot of work, patience and a whole lot of love. Only the love that God can bestow. After almost 21 years, here we are still going strong, even through the bumps in the road and God willing we will be there together 21 years more. I thank God that He gave us the good times and carried us in the palm of His hand during the rough ones.
