Lyrics:
I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait
I will move ahead, bold and confident
Takeing every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait
I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve you while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord

Journaling:
We have had many seasons of waiting over the years; waiting on the Lord’s will and timing. Just a year ago we were in one of those seasons and waiting for the Lord’s timing for us to begin our overseas journey. During that time I realized that through many of the seasons of waiting in my life that I had survived them but not always thrived in the midst of them. My hearts’ desire and prayer became that I would not merely survive, but that I would trust in Him and bring Him glory and honor, no matter the outcome. As we have just entered another season of waiting this remains my prayer. I think that this is the toughest so far. Waiting to see if He will allow us to stay on this overseas journey that he placed on our hearts nearly eight years ago. We are only nine months into this journey and facing the reality that He may be calling us “home” to the US. Though we desire to stay, our prayer is: “Thy will be done.” And, whether He allows us to stay only a few days or months, or whether He allows us to stay the rest of our lives as we had hoped,we desire that the remainder of our time we would glorify His name where we are. This song reminds me of our desire to glorifly Him while we‘re waiting: “Lord, we will serve You while we’re waiting. We will worship You while we’re waiting."
