Growing up I was very painstakingly shy and when I moved to the town I live in now in the 6th grade I was petrified! This girl was the only person in my new school who pretty much came up to me and said "my name is Susan....you want to be friends?" and the rest is history. We've been friends ever since, and though we don't see each other very often anymore, when we do finally get a chance to talk or see each other it's like we pretty much pick up where we left off...and I am so thankful that she was bold and kind enough to want to be my friend. I used the patriotic colors to honor her becuase her birthday is July 4th...LOL!
