The photos in this layout are of my Aunt. The little bonnets she is wearing in them intrigued me, and when I asked her about them recently she smiled and told me that my grandmother (the most precious person in my life ever!) hand made the little bonnets.
Journal:
"This is my aunt and namesake, Mary Elizabeth. Her nickname is BB. She was born in the late 1920s. Her mother, my Nanny, hand sewed the bonnets worn in each of these photos. When I spoke with BB about the bonnets, she told me that she doesn’t recall a childhood photo in which she wasn’t wearing a hat of some sort. She laughed and said that perhaps that’s why she hates hats to this day! I think she looks like a doll baby!"
