This is the layout I submitted for a Spiritual Challenge at another site ... no words are allowed ... the message had to be conveyed in photos only. My Resolution:
After much thought and prayer, I decided that my resolution for this year is to consistently work at seeing others in this world with God's Heart and with His Eyes. It's easy to have compassion and to feel loving towards some of the people that touch our lives, but there are difficult people that we are called to love as well ... and this is where I need a "change of heart" that can only come through Spiritual intervention. I am a shy person, and I struggle often with allowing others to get too close - classic issues with trust. This lack of trust impacted my relationship with God at one time - but we worked through that together and I am blessed with a close and personal relationship with Him that is based solely on Complete Trust in Him. I feel His nudge to use His Filter, His Heart, His Eyes as He blesses me with opportunities to reach out to others. There are so many examples of Jesus having Compassion in the Bible ... Compassion for the hungry, the blind, the grieving, and yes, even the stubborn and hard-hearted ... the difficult people.
I am convicted by this ...
So, with a new hope, and my new "Filter" ... I begin 2010 ... with a fresh, new look at the world and the people in it who will touch my life ...
