When creating a scrapbook page, any size, you should off-center your main design. Try to create a border some where on your page...the left side, bottom or side like this layout. I am not a master at design but there is a specific rule. The rule of thirds....Rule of Thirds
The rule of thirds is a compositional tool that makes use of the notion that the most interesting compositions are those in which the primary element is off center. Basically, take any frame of reference and divide it into thirds placing the elements of the composition on the lines in between.
Instead of placing everything in the center of your one page layout (or the two page layout) attempt to follow the rule of thirds. The more I learn about design theories and basics, the faster I am able to create a decent layout with ease. Do you have a design education? I have learned from others and the internet but never had a class. I could use one!
