Jacob and I went to a baseball game September 5, 2009. Towards the end of the game, Jacob got up went to the edge of the section we were sitting in and just stood there watching the game. God started talking to me right there in my seat. Jacob's dream is to become a great baseball player. That dream seems so large compared to Jacob as he looked out onto the baseball field. My dreams of having our own house in the midst of my financial situation and just being a single mom seem so daunting to me sometimes as well. At that point God showed me the size of the baseball field in His hands and I realized how small our dreams are in His hands. That is where I need to keep my hopes and my dreams -- in the palm of His hands.
