Recently Michael & I planned a trip to Arizona to visit Jim. I hadn’t seen him since March, the longest interval yet, so I was anxiously counting the days til I could see him again. Imagine my despair when the week before we were supposed to leave I came down with the swine flu. Initially I thought I would be all well by the scheduled day we were supposed to leave, but unfortunately my fever kept spiking and I didn’t want to take the chance of infecting everyone. Michael still went because we had a scheduled appointment with the caterer for the wedding rehearsal dinner. So I stayed home…alone…crying and having a major pity party. I had looked forward to seeing Jim for soooooooo long and I missed out on the one the opportunity. But God is good and with some creative schedule rearranging we are now planning on going to see him in a few weeks. I just need to remember to lean back, relax and put all my worries in God’s hands because things always have a way of working out!
