I chose Wendy's LO for the paper strips, circle element but mostly for her way of journaling. I love how she journals and really "tells" the story.

Journaling Reads: On this June day in 1959 John and Martha became husband and wife. They were 23 & 18 years of age on their wedding day. There were happy and thought nothing could ever change the way they felt. Oh they were so very young and in love. The world was good and right in this moment in time...June 6, 1959. How could anything possibly be hard to overcome because afterall they are so very happy. Soon they learned they were having a baby and a son was born in Nov 1960. Times were lean but they had their little family and were happy. In 1965 they welcomed son #2 in July. They were growing and times became leaner and life was getting harder. A surprise package was delivered in September 1970 when their daughter was born. She was not planned but lovingly welcomed (except by son #2). Years of struggling to keep a roof over head and food on the table took its' toll but they stood the test of those hard times and they saw each of their children grow, mature into adults and have wonderful lives of their own. June 6, 2009 marked 50 years of marriage for John & Martha and they celebrated with those they love most...their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. What a blessing that day was for our family!
