Journaling: Catch a glimpse of the wonderous Hanauma Bay! Oh, this was one for the books alright - it doesn’t matter I was the tender age of 11, I remember it like yesterday! They warn the vacationers “Don’t swim out too far from the bay” but my mother and I felt we knew better and snorkled out beyond the reefs. It was there that we experienced how strong the currents really were, and we were splashed against rocks where mom cut her leg and I lost a flipper. Hey, I saw a really cool turtle though!
