JOURNALING:
One of my parent’s favorite songs was Never On A Sunday and the chorus says “never on a Sunday cause that’s my day of rest”. The song has to do with kissing, but the message is still applies. After a busy week of work and then running around on Saturday doing errands and puttering in the yard, Sunday IS our day of rest. Tho I must admit there is some kissing =) But we usually sleep in, have a nice leisurely breakfast and then head off to church. Sometimes we go to brunch by the beach after church, but most of the time we come home and sit on the patio and read the Sunday paper. I love reading the comics and doing the Sunday crosswords and Michael reads the every section of the paper from cover to cover. At times there is an afternoon nap and other times we will go to a matinee play with friends. Our typical Sunday is all very laid back and relaxing because it is our day to rest and reflect on all the blessings God has given us the previous week and to renew and refresh ourselves for the upcoming week He has planned for us.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Exodus 20:8
