Layout of my oldest son Austin who is a "tweener" at the moment and is in that awkward stage where he's definitely not grown up by any means, yet he's not a little kid either...and I remember going through that stage myself and how terribly rough it was for me. It breaks my heart even now that my son has to go through this stage of his life. So this layout is dedicated to my son and the things I WISH I could tell him.
Journaling reads: I wish I could tell you...that the world was filled with nice people...that the friends you have now will last through adulthood, though they may...that things will always go your way...that these years ahead are going to be easy...that there aren't going to be struggles along the way...that you don't have to grow up, unfortunately somehow you do...that life is all about fun, unfortunately it's a lot of work too.
Journaling behind photo reads: This I CAN tell you...God is still on the throne and He is still in control...He has promised in His Word that He will never leave you nor forsake you...Mom & Dad are ALWAYS here for you...no matter what...As I've always told you since you were little, "I may not always like what you do but I'll ALWAYS love you."...I know that God has great things in store for you as long as you keep your eyes on Him...That you are going to do great things...That even though the world may seem like a cruel, ugly place and people may be mean to you, NO ONE can take away your faith! That we love you with all our hearts! Love Mom & Dad
