"I can sing. I was a member of our church worship team, ‘til we moved here. But, before that, I used to be very afraid of singing in front of a congregation. I feel that when I am on-stage, I am a subject for scrutiny, bare for all to see, all my imperfections; my mistakes~ magnified. I am always asking myself: “Am I a good singer? Or am I just deluding myself I am one?”, that maybe I am a stumbling block during worship time, instead of being a blessing to my fellow Christians. Almost every Sunday that I stand on that stage, I am always overcome with fear, stage-fright and self doubts. But I am able to do it, because I always, always pray for courage to face and overcome this weakness of mine. And I know God always upholds me, I know that He is always with me during those times, becaue I know I cannot do it, I would not be able to do it, without Him. And that’s how I know that he believes in me, and in the talent that He gave me..
Yes, I am one of his chosen one. I may look ordinary and average, but I am special enough in my Father’s eyes, special enough to have His Son, Jesus, die for my sins. That’s how I know how much He loves me, how special I am to Him. And I will always sing for Him, for I know now why he gave me this talent/ability; so that I can share to others through music how great and loving He is."
