I LOVE the fact that my uncle and grandfather are both in this picture it’s almost a miracle because pictures of them are so very scarce.

JOURNALING:
My family’s love of home and heritage can be found in this photograph. The clock on top of the china cabinet still chimes every hour on the mantle in my parents’ house. My grandmother’s hand painted china now sits in my mom’s china cabinet and is brought out for special family occasions. The crystal centerpiece vase now sits on the piano in our living room. The filigree corner shelf that my dad made when he was in junior high now hangs in Jim’s room. The past and the present are connected and this picture is living proof and for that I am truly thankful.
