JOURNALING: When my parents gave Todd & me our little dachshund, Heidi, they told us that we would be responsible for raising her. When she was a puppy we constantly hovered over her because we knew she needed extra special care. We would take her for walks, feed her, play with and tend to her every need. As she got older, she was more independent and did not need our constant care, but we were still there for her. Just as when we are young Christians, God hovers over us tending to our every need. When we have matured in our faith we can venture out, but God is still hovering in the background, tending to our every need.
