Going through financial difficulties can have a major effect on your life. God had a plan for my family this past year as we went through all the hardships of those difficulties. Losing practially everything material wise, but not the Faith in Him or our family. We grew closer as a couple, and knew that it was in God's hands. This "unexpected" redirection still has yet to manifest where our life will be lead, but we will follow His path to the best of our ability.
