The people on the farm had a pet meerkat. This awefull little animal hated Richard, and bit him badly every chance he got. Richard was terrified and ran everytime he saw the meerkat. But despite this he had a great time looking for grasshoppers to feed the meerket - he would catch them but would give them to someone else to feed the meerkat, as he would not go near him!
