That is the book jacket from 1954 and the expression on my face proves I didn’t like the book back then either =)

JOURNALING:In college I needed to take just one more English class to meet my requirement. Michael, who I was dating at the time and LOVED all the Lord of the Ring books and suggested that I take an English class that would critique it. Needless to say I hated the book and I hated the class. So when researching the year of my birth, I found it truly ironic that Lord of the Rings was published that same year. I still married Michael, but I still hate the book =)
