Journaling reads; "On July 14th, 2008 a violent thunderstorm with high winds, heavy rain and hail swept through our area; destroying crops, gardens and trees. Looking out the window all we could see was a wall of white. In a matter of minutes the ground was covered with piles of hail up to six inches deep against the buildings. As the storm moved on it left behind a path of mud and water, broken branches, shredded leaves, and flattened and torn plants. Crops and gardens that were looking so promising (the best in years) were now gone. We pray healing and restoration over our land and thank God that our family, neighbors and animals were spared. As the farmers often say ”there is always next year” We know the Lord will probvide our needs and new life will come once again!"
