I have come to the conclusion that Michael is a pyromaniac. Every July 4th he wants to put on a fireworks show in our backyard. Forget that they are illegal in our county or that the sheriff station is just over our back hill, he want fireworks! So he drives up to Orange County and buys enough fireworks to rival the fireworks show at the Del Mar Fair. We have sparklers, fountains, screamers, you name it, and he bought it. And when the sun goes down all our neighbors hang over their back fences or stand out on their balconies and enjoy the show in our backyard. We all oooh and aaah together and Michael even gets a round of applause when it is all over. What better way to celebrate America’s birthday than showing your neighbors you are crazy!
