I came across this photo -my eyes settled on that beer bottle and it reminded me of the days before alcohol no longer entered our home. God put it upon my heart to share this story. There is power in a praying wife, and my husband uses this old life story to minister to others who struggle.


Journaling:
Seeing this picture I am reminded of a very different time in our lives. We were young,, and did not know Jesus, and alcohol was a problem for my husband. As a young wife I would pray for God to help him stop drinking. Jesse would be angry at himself when he came home drunk, his self-esteem was so low. But then it happened....


Jesse had an overnight transformation. He prayed that God would take away his self-destructive behavior, and he became a new man in Christ. Our lives were never the same. Both of our prayers were answered, and it was through Jesse's transformation that I too, became a Christ follower. There was no turning back - our old lives were washed away and forgotten.
