I don’t have an actual picture of this infamous event, so I included various shots of Todd and myself at the appropriate age...which OBVIOUSLY happened more than 1 year ago =)
I love how this glitter patterned paper is sooooo 50’s! I think our wallpaper might have been this same pattern =)

JOURNALING:
The Las Vegas Legend. A story passed down to future generations. It involved a most unusual trip my brother Todd and I took one summer day back in 1956. I love my older brother. We are only 18 months apart and grew up being each others best friends. I used to follow Todd anywhere and everywhere. Which explains just how this legend occurred. One sunny summer afternoon Todd asked mom if she would pack a picnic lunch as he, he informed her, we were heading off to Las Vegas. Mom, thinking it was just another one of our imaginary play sessions in the backyard, was more than happy to pack up some sandwiches and send us on our way. But after about 30 minutes she noticed that things were eerily quiet. She and dad started looking for us all over the house. They checked the front yard and back yard, up and down the street, but there was no sign of us. She called various neighbors but no one had seen us. She and dad got into the car and started driving all around the neighborhood. About a mile away, walking along the sidewalk they noticed their little 4 year old son carrying the lunch box and holding tightly on to the hand of his little sister, who still, in diapers was waddling along beside him. They jumped out of the car and started to get upset with Todd for leaving the neighborhood. He just looked up at them and simply stated, “But I TOLD you we were going to go to Las Vegas~!” My parents could do nothing but laugh and cry with relief. But from that moment on, any time we told mom of ANY travel plans, she had to have our full itinerary! =)
