Of course I had to make the main color blue =) But all of the cardstock used was trimmed from previous layouts and has been hanging out in my scrap pile =)

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: oh man I have to list all these? =)
Bazzill Basics, Club Scrap, Prism, Making Memories, Lisa Bearnson Design & Display Kit
Patterned Paper: Background White Lined Paper:Scenic Route:
Font: Missy BT
Adhesive: Vario: EK Success; Vellum Adhesive Runner, Zots:Therm O Web
Embellishments: Chalk: Colorbox, Shimmer Jigsaw preGlittered Chipboard Alphabet: Making Memories; Thickers Adhesive Foam Letters Rootbeer Float: American Crafts
JOURNALING:
I store my cardstock in a nice big wire holder. It is divided up by colors to make it easier for me to find the exact shade paper I need when I get ready to design a scrapbook page. But even with all this cardstock on hand, it always seems like I never have ~quite~ the right shade. The blue should be a little bit darker; the pink should be just a bit redder and so on. And off I go to buy yet another pack of cardstock to add to the pile. But I got to thinking. Am I really being a good steward of the supplies I have on hand? There really is NO way for me to have EVERY single shade of blue cardstock that is on the market, even tho Michael already thinks I do. =) Instead of always trying to match the cardstock color, why don’t I try and work with shades that are close to it or even try a contrasting color? By rethinking my entire design process and being faithful to using cardstock that I already have, I have become a little more creative and a lot more prolific in my scrapbooking. And that is what scrapbooking is all about for me-creating layouts of our treasured family moments to share now and with future generations.
