Daily Devotional in Journey – Friday, April 18
When Isaiah was confronted with who God is (Isaiah 6:1-5), his life changed. When we worship God through song, we get a picture similar to the one Isaiah got. God is infinite, holy, loving, and worthy of our lives. When we let that impact our heart, it will change us.
Have you ever been listening to a worship song in the car, at home, or at church, and you felt really convicted about something? Or maybe it reminded you of how big God is and therefore how small your circumstances are in comparison.
Somehow music connects with our hearts in a different way, and who God is really hits home. Something in us responds. God uses are praise and worship times to remind us of who He is and how we should live.
When you think of the joy that God brings into your life, an iPod doesn’t necessarily come to mind. I wanted to use this layout to remind me that God can be in all things – even the smallest – if you let him. I use my iPod daily to block out the noise and distraction of my office. It’s filled with Christian music --- straight from the word of God – and that brings me joy.
