I am sooo inspired by my children when they are faced with any hardship and they do not back down but have the faith to meet it head on.

JOURNALING:
It was the first important cross-country meet of the year between two high school rivals. As team captain, all eyes were on you to step up to the challenge and lead your team to victory. Things were going according to plan and you were leading the race until halfway thru when you suddenly started to limp. The coach ran after you, yelling at you to stop so as not to injure yourself any further. But deep down, you knew that if you did not finish the race, your team would definitely loose the meet. You could barely run the last 100 yards. As your mom, it was not only the most painful thing to watch, but it was also a moment of extreme pride to see your sheer determination and pure strength to not give up. You did not win, but because you finished the race, your team won the meet. You showed everyone that was watching you run, the heart and guts of a true competitor.
