I remember so clearly the day our six year old stood firm to correct the 9 yr. old neighbor girl on the topic of luck. The moms and kids of the neighborhood were enjoying a nice, early evening walk, and Rachel commented on how lucky somebody was. Kyle said, "there is no such thing as luck," and she, of course, said that there was. Not to be swayed of his convictions, Kyle, in a matter-of-fact voice said, "there is NO SUCH THING AS LUCK --- dad read it to me from the Bible. God has everything planned out - He controls EVERYTHING! Luck has nothing to do with it." Rachel, rarely short on words, had nothing to say, other than "hmmm..." I was so proud of my little evangelist.
