Journaling Reads:
When we found out that I was pregnant with Gabriel, we were so excited. We had wanted another child and
we felt so blessed! When we found out that he had Potter's Syndrome, we were devastated. BUT, we new
that no matter what, we were going to carry him to term. Most people understood, but we were often asked
how we could do this. Why was I willing to sacrifice 9 months carrying a child we knew would die shortly
after birth? But the fact of the matter was that there was NOTHING I wouldn’t sacrifice for one of my
children. God gave him to me and only God could take him from me. No matter how long his life, my
sacrifice of 9 months of my life is nothing compared to the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made for me.
We were blessed to know and love Gabriel while I carried him and someday, because of Jesus' sacrifice, I
will see Gabriel again.
