For Mrs Wresh's 12 week blog challenge - WEEK 3
Journaling reads:
I will admit I’m pretty sentimental. I’ve been challenged to scrap some THING I love and treasure (people, pictures & scrapbooks were a given). I honestly couldn’t pick ONE thing. So, I picked my top 4!
1. My Pucker Quilt made by Joyce “Granny” McIntyre for me. This is very special to me because it’s like having a part of her here with me. She spent many hours putting this together & it really shows her love for crafts. Granny 1926-2003
2. A porcelain jewelry or keepsake box. This was Caren’s. It is not something that is terribly personal, but it’s one of the few ‘things’ I have that was hers. It reminds me of her and I will treasure it always. 1958-2007
3. These are 2 rings my Grandma Alice gave to me. She loved antiques of all kinds. These 2 rings are very old style wedding rings & they’re very special to me. 1917-2004
4. The only one of my ‘things’ that is not a gift or inheritance from someone who has already gone on to Heaven. These are Ryan & Chase’s baby books. There are lots of ‘things’ inside these books that are very special to me - their first footprints for example.
I will treasure each of these things for the rest of my life and I pray my children also find the ‘value’ in these things!
